San Luis Obispo Vacation Rentals

Solmaré Stays manages twelve houses in San Luis Obispo County. They are not in downtown SLO — they are in Avila Beach and Arroyo Grande, 10 to 20 minutes out, which puts the beach at your doorstep and downtown SLO a short drive away for dinner on Higuera Street or the Thursday night farmers market.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I stay near Cal Poly San Luis Obispo?
Our Avila Beach houses are about 15 minutes from campus and range from studios sleeping two to a 2-bedroom sleeping four. They start around $140 per night and make a practical base for campus visits, graduations, and parents' weekends without paying downtown hotel rates.
Is San Luis Obispo good for a family or group stay?
Yes. Most of our Avila Beach houses sleep two to four, and several sit side by side on the same block, which works well for families booking two units. Larger groups are better served by Wine Country Estate in Arroyo Grande, about 20 minutes south, which sleeps 14 across 5 bedrooms.
How far is San Luis Obispo from the beach?
About 15 minutes to Avila Beach and 20 minutes to Pismo Beach. Our houses are on the coast side of that drive, so you get the beach on foot and SLO's downtown restaurants, Thursday farmers market, and Bishop Peak hiking a short drive inland.
